The Advanced Curriculum is the second technical component of the CFP designation route focusing on more complex planning issues. This course builds on top of the blocks, blueprints, tools and construction skills developed in the Core Curriculum. This course will be available in March 2020. It is required on the path to the CFP designation.
You’ll meet two new “clients” with complex needs in the Advanced Curriculum. Designed to provide a practical example, you’ll learn to apply the advanced technical skills needed to these complete financial planning scenarios.
The online resources allow students a variety of approaches to their studies and are supported by instructors, graders, and our student advisors. Electronic textbooks are supported by recorded and live instruction, video playlists, forums with instructor participation, and feedback-based assignments and quizzes. Our focus is on helping you understand the material, prepare for the FP Canada courses and exams, and, importantly, provide your clients with value-added advice and service.
Students may wish to add on engaging live instruction to help achieve the goal of timely completion and a thorough understanding of the content. Our unique weekly instruction approach is scheduled around FP Canada program timelines and takes students through the Core Curriculum in half a year. This is a great approach for students looking for structure and accountability. Mix-and-match live and self-paced delivery for a program that meets your requirements.
