The Teacher Assistant program
focuses on working with students
who have special needs.
Graduates will develop skills to
assist teachers in working with
children and adolescents with a
variety of developmental,
physical and/or emotional
disabilities. In addition
to occupation specific courses,
students receive training in
first aid and CPR as well as
personal and professional
excellence.
This program is excellent
preparation for careers in both
elementary and secondary
schools.
The program is condensed into
7.5 months; 4.5 months in
studies and 3 months in work
experience. The work term
provides you with valuable
experience for your resume prior
to graduation.
