John Stirling

John grew up in rural Southwestern Ontario and entered the financial industry with a major Canadian Life Insurance company as an agent in 1972. He left that company in order to found his own insurance brokerage "The Insurance Exchange, Insurance Brokers Ltd." in 1981. His involvement in the management of businesses in manufacturing, real estate, and resources plus the financial sectors have given John a wealth of diverse business knowledge. His commitment to education in the financial sector is evident in the fact that he has attained the CFP, CLU and CHFC designations. His commitment to the industry is further reflected in his service as president of the local Life Underwriters Association and his continued efforts as director of education in the London Advocis chapter for several years. He was awarded a certificate of appreciation from Advocis/CAIFA and for the past 5 years has made the commitment of lecturing courses in the financial studies department of a local community college in London, Ontario.
